| Other Attractions A must-see in the area is the Victorian stone mansion built by B. R. Sherman in 1892. Called "The Castle" by locals, it is constructed of granite cut by hand and hauled by ox team and wagon from the Castle Mountains southeast of White Sulphur. The Castle is now a museum and open to visitors from May until November. The carriage house next door has a fine display of antique buggies and carriages, and a gift shop featuring local crafts. The Spa Hot Springs Motel is located right in the middle of White Sulphur Springs, a small town of about 1,000 in west central Montana. The area abounds with history and visitors are invited to explore our unique western heritage. |
